Dinner-and-a-movie is fine, but nobody has ever left it saying "that was the best night we've had in months." Friday evenings, the lights go off, the blacklights come on, and the two of you get to find out who really spins out first.
You already know the usual date night menu: dinner, a movie, maybe drinks. It's nice, and it's also a lot of sitting and talking across a table. Some nights you want to actually do something together, something that gets you laughing before the appetizers arrive.
Friday evenings at 'Ohana DriftLab are built for that.
When the sun goes down, we go full cosmic. The overhead lights drop, the blacklights come on, and the track glows. The mood shifts from family playground to lounge, with music, low light, and a track you can slide around for as long as the laps last. It's fast, it's silly, and it's a different kind of Friday night.
What a Friday cosmic night feels like
The glow. Blacklight cosmic lighting turns the whole track into something you'd normally only see on a night out, not at a go-kart place.
The laughs come fast. Drift karts slide, spin, and go backwards. Nobody looks cool the first lap, and that's the best part. Within a few minutes, you're both laughing too hard to care.
Low pressure, real thrills. You don't need any racing experience. Our karts have adjustable speeds and a staff briefing before you go, so first-timers pick it up quickly and then start trash-talking.
A friendly rivalry. Who's the better drifter? Who spun out more? You'll have material for the whole drive home.
Easy to build into a night out
Dinner first, then drift. We're in the Shops at Dole Cannery, close to Iwilei and downtown. Eat nearby, then head over for a post-dinner session.
Catch a movie. Regal Cinemas is next door, so a late showing after your session is super easy.
Skip the reservation stress. Regular sessions are walk-in, so you can decide on Friday afternoon.
Validated parking. The Dole Cannery garage off Pacific St. is validated by us for 3 hours, so you aren't hunting for street parking.

Track hours can change for private parties on Friday evenings. Check Instagram (@ohanadriftlab) for that day's schedule before you head over.
Closed-toe shoes are recommended, and everyone fills out a one-time waiver (valid for a year). Do it online beforehand to skip the line.
Headsocks are required and available to buy. Helmets are provided.
